AppleScripts by Tom X
iPurge Safari Caches: Deletes the following:
Hard Disk/private/var/ - Safari caches.
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
~/Library/Caches/Adobe/Flash Player/AssetCache
~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/macromedia.com
~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#SharedObjects
~/Library/Caches/QuickTime/downloads
iPurge Safari Caches Login: Deletes the same caches, and you can set it as a login script in your 'System Preferences' > 'Accounts' > 'Login Items' pane. Select the script you prefer to use.
Requirements: PPC/Intel, Mac OS X 10.4.4 or later

iShow Invisible: Shows and hides the invisible files via a repeating dialog box. After you have revealed the invisible files, simply move the Hide dialog box out of your way or press Command-H to send it to the background. Any open folders should remain open when you change the visibility. This makes it easier if you have several folders open and want to view the invisible files.
Requirements: PPC/Intel, Mac OS X 10.4.4 or later

Image Dimensions LS: Displays the width and height (in pixels) of an image that you drag and drop on the script. You can also launch the script and select an image with the navigation dialog box to get it's dimensions.
Requirements: PPC/Intel, Mac OS X 10.4.4 or later

iRemove .DS_Store files: Deletes the invisible .DS_Store files on all mounted Disks from all folders and application packages. For those of you who want to delete the .DS_Store files quickly without resorting to the Terminal, this AppleScript does the trick. There are .DS_Store files in some of your (third-party) application packages. They are left there by the programmers and are totally useless.
Requirements: PPC/Intel, Mac OS X 10.4 and Mac OS X 10.6
Download: iRemove .DS_Store files 1.5.1  49k  10/29/09  (Tiger and Snow Leopard only)

iAdjust Audio: Allows you to adjust the main volume in smaller increments than the standard 16 moves via the keyboard. Because of variations in operating systems, these scripts will give you between 44 and 48 increments. Leopard and Snow Leopard users can hold down the Option and Shift keys while pressing either volume key to get very small increments, but some people may find this awkward as it requires both hands.
Requirements: PPC/Intel, Mac OS X 10.4.4 or later
Download: Adjust Audio 1.1  73k  10/19/09

Safari PB: Launches Safari and enables Private Browsing. If Safari is launched normally, Safari PB will enable Private Browsing.
Clicking on Safari PB a second time does not disable Private Browsing and will open a new window (if no windows are open).
Requirements: PPC/Intel, Mac OS X 10.4.4 or later
Download: Safari PB 1.8.2  43k  7/31/09

WebKit PB: Launches the WebKit nightly build and enables Private Browsing. If the WebKit is launched normally, WebKit PB will enable Private Browsing. Clicking on WebKit PB a second time does not disable Private Browsing and will open a new window (if no windows are open).
Requirements: PPC/Intel, Mac OS X 10.4.4 or later
Download: WebKit PB 1.6.2  35k  7/31/09

iForce Quit: If you have an application that frequently causes you to force quit it, temporarily placing this script in your Dock may prove to be convenient (faster) to pull up the Force Quit dialog box until you resolve the problem.
Requirements: PPC/Intel, Mac OS X 10.4.4 or later
Download: iForce Quit 1.0  42k  5/11/09

uLock: Toggles the lock status of multiple files and folders via drag & drop. Launching the script, locks or unlocks a folder with the navigation dialog box.
Requirements: PPC/Intel, Mac OS X 10.4.4 or later
Download: uLock 1.3  45k  5/3/09

iBackground Scripts: Will set an AppleScript to run in the background, provided that the script is saved as an 'application bundle'. Simply place the script on your Desktop and change the name of it to 'back.app'. Then launch iBackground Scripts and click the 'Yes' button. You can reverse it by clicking the 'No' button and it will no longer be a background script.
Tiger users may have to copy the script to another location to see the change. Although, renaming it usually does the trick.
Requirements: PPC/Intel, Mac OS X 10.4.4 or later

iCab Favicons: Allows you to Disable or Enable iCab 4.x bookmark favicons. This may prove to be useful for people running iCab on Tiger as this function is not available. To clean your bookmarks of favicons, simply export them to your desktop. Next, delete the bookmarks from iCab's Bookmark Manager (Command-Shift-B) and then import the bookmark file from your desktop. Since this script can toggle the state of the favicons, you can Enable them for sites where you want the favicons and Disable them for other sites. Leopard users may find this toggle useful as well.
Requirements: PPC/Intel, Mac OS X 10.4.4 or later

Safari Web Site Validator: Opens a new window in Safari and sends the HTML or XHTML code of the web page you're viewing to W3C Markup Validation Service. It then opens a second window to validate the CSS code. W3C will display any errors it can detect in the HTML/XHTML and CSS code. I included two scripts in the folder. The script named 'Safari Web Site Validator Go' does the same thing as 'Safari Web Site Validator' except there isn't a dialog box when you launch it. This might prove convenient (and faster) for those of you who have many pages that you want to validate.
Requirements: PPC/Intel, Mac OS X 10.4.4 or later
